I am a licensed mental health therapist and clinical social worker with over 16 years of experience in counseling adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in the following areas: - Chronic Illness & Medical Trauma - Infertility, Reproductive Health & IVF - Third Party Reproduction - Adoption - Miscarriage & Perinatal Loss - Couples Counseling & Relationship Issues - Grief & Loss - Anxiety & Depression - ADD & ADHD - OCD & Phobias - LBGTQ and Transgender Support - Eating Disorders - Self-Esteem & Body Image Fertility Counseling Supporting clients through the grief of miscarriage and the challenges of infertility, assisted reproduction, surrogacy, and adoption is work that I am deeply passionate about in part because of my own journey to parenthood. Chronic Illness One of my specialties is chronic illness and medical trauma, having worked as a medical and palliative care social worker and psychotherapist at Swedish Medical Center for many years. As a therapist, I utilize evidence-based modalities and am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method for couples, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Problem Solving Therapy (PST), and Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Franklin University Switzerland in Lugano, Switzerland and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California. My professional memberships include: National Association of Social Work (NASW), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and RESOLVE (The National Infertility Association). I provide in-person therapy sessions at my office in Seattle's Madison Park as well as telehealth. Additionally, I offer walk-and-talk therapy in the Washington Park Arboretum. While I don't currently accept insurance, I provide Super Bills for insurance reimbursement. When I'm not working, I love skiing, hiking, mountaineering, horseback riding, paddle boarding, and spending time with my family and our greyhound.
